Publishes scholarly essays on American literature, broadly defined. Essays should be grounded in examination of texts, situated with respect to current academic conversations touching on the texts and issues discussed, and inflected by knowledge of wider critical and theoretical discourse. Takes a particular interest in the work of colleagues based in countries other than the US, and in US literary and cultural texts considered from a global perspective.
